Physical Requirements and Registration Information

The age and weight requirements are as follows:

Flag football (age 6-8)

C team football
(age7-9 up to 105 pounds) Note: 7 year olds are up to the discretion of the C Squad coaching staff. The coaches reserve the right to refuse a 7 year old participant if they determine the player is not ready for contact football

B team football
(age 9-10-11 up to 125 pounds)

A team football
(age 11-12-13 up to 155 pounds)or lightweight 14 year olds weighing up to 120 pounds

Flag cheerleading (age 5-6)
C team cheerleading (age 7-9)
B team cheerleading (age 10-11)
A team cheerleading (age 12-14)

Age is determined by the age your child reaches by August 1, 2009 for football players and by December 1, 2009 for cheerleaders.
School grade is also considered for cheerleading.

All players and cheerleaders must have a physical exam by a qualified physician before participating in American Youth Football and Cheerleading League Program.

Total cost due at 2009 Registration

March 1, 2009 - Contact Football and Cheerleading:
First child $160.00; 2nd child $130.00; 3rd child $100.00*.
Flag Football $65.00

NOTE: Mandatory Fundraiser

*Each participant is required to also purchase and sell 10 lottery tickets at $5.00 each($50.00...paid for at time of registration). All tickets need to be handed in to the Gates Jr. Spartans by September 1, 2009 as part of a fundraiser. The tickets need to be picked up and paid for at the time of registration. THE COST OF THE LOTTERY TICKETS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEES LIST ABOVE.

We have eliminated our Candy Sales Fundraiser from the past.

There will be additional dates for registration, but it is estimated that our spots will fill quickly this year. Also, the price does increase at the time of future registrations.

ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION; NO EXCEPTIONS.

Gates Jr. Spartants Youth Football and Cheerleading is a non-profit, volunteer run organization. ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER TIME DURING THE SEASON TO ASSIST US IN THE OPERATIONS DURING PRACTICES, GAMES, AND OTHER LEAGUE ACTIVITIES.
